Made of PP seat and upholstered in premium wool, the Organic Chair is considered to be one of the most comfortable “petite” reading chairs. Designed in 1940, the Organic Chair is Saarinen’s contribution to the competitive world of furniture design in New York. Sadly, due to the lack of advanced manufacturing techniques, the Organic Dining Armchair did not go into series production right away. The difficulty is attributed to the chair’s elusive shape, which made it hard to mass produce via machine or technology. As the years went on, and technology advanced, the Organic Chair went into mass production in the year 1950.
